There were many birds flying and landing in the arches and columns in the church on the evening of April 27, 2019 when I committed myself to the service of God and humanity as an Oblate of The World Community for Christian Meditation.    Everything was lovely and as I begin to write it has all come back to me.  …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first experience of Christian Meditation came through a talk given by Dom Laurence Freeman on Youtube, I felt a complete identification with the Spirituality of the Community. It was like I had tried on several different outfits to compare them – one was kind of OK, another a little better, some were too big etc.; and then I  tried one which fitted perfectly.  Yes, my searching was over.  Perfect! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From that time John Main and Laurence Freeman have been my main spiritual teachers,  of course I also read the works of other spiritual teachers such as Thomas Keating, Henri Nowen, and other great names in our Christian tradition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more contact I\nhave with this tradition, the more I want to share the fruits that Meditation has brought,  and continues to bring, to my life.   I\ncoordinate a Christian Meditation group in Cotia, Brazil and practice\nmeditation with children. I also meditate with my Clients to whom I attend as a\npsychotherapist. My wish is that more people could enjoy the fruits of this\nWay, of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On\nthis journey I have read,\nand been guided by, the Rule of St. Benedict.  The  moment I put my eyes on his opening words: “Listen,\nson, the precepts of the Master.” I felt he was speaking directly to me.  I realized I was a daughter of Benedict of\nNursia.  His words spoke to my\nheart in a way that made me feel warm and filled with love.  I found it reassuring.   It confirmed for me my call to become an Oblate\nof the World Community for Christian Meditation, the community in which I have\nmade my Home.  In our Monastery Without Walls,\nwe are all brothers and sisters of a \nfamily that welcomes joys and sorrows and seeks to understand and\nrespect each others\nspiritual journey  because\nwe speak\nthe same language: the language of\nthe  heart. That’s why I agree with\nSaint Benedict when he talks about the importance of the genre of the cenobites,\nwho live in community  which  helps  reflection\nand fulfillment of the three vows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One\nof them, Stability \/ fidelity\nto this path,\nis guaranteed to me spontaneously through daily meditation, the study of the\nRule, reading the\ntexts of John Main and Laurence Freeman. I say spontaneously because I delight in\nthese readings and try to always put them into practice as they resonate true in\nme.  Of course, the harmony and balance\nbetween the interior and exterior are in continuous process of change.  We encounter our dark sides we sometime\nattempt to escape induced by our ego and at these times we it is a comfort\nknowing I am part of a community that supports each other in falls, and\nrecoveries. Being part of a loving community enables growth in security and trust, because\nwe know we are all pilgrims together\non this journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tunring\nto the three precepts: Stability, Obedience and Conversion.  Stability can be guaranteed by our discipline\nto meditate twice a day in\nthe morning and in the evening; and to a daily reading from the\nRule of Saint Benedict.  My daily readings are teaching me a lot about\nthe importance place Community holds in Benedictine spirituality and how\nStability, Obedience and Conversion are completely related to each other.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 About (or ‘as for’) the\nvow of Obedience. I would say that it\nis\nto obey the signs of the Spirit\nand  that is much  easier to perceive when we practice the\nteachings of John Main and the Community,\nmeditate twice a day allowing the Mantra to be  our compass.\n And in that sense, we can say that the\ncommitment to one vow\nfeeds the commitment to the\nothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conversion\nis to remain open to transformation.  It\nis dynamic and constant. . Meditation enables any inadequacies of our personality to emerge\nfrom our depths  and by becoming aware of them in the light of\nthe Rule of St. Benedict\nand  of the wisdom of the\nChristian Meditation tradition,\nthey can\nbe healed and in\nthe furnace ardent Love of the Holy Spirit,  transformed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meditation\nreally creates Community,\nCommunity of Love … and that\nis why the World Community of Christian  Meditation means a home to me.   It teaches the principles, the\nprecepts, the way of life that\nI  wish\/want  to follow. \nIt is like a family, having almost the same DNA, something that is far beyond I could\never explain, a sample of Life in the Kingdom.        <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After I had made my Final Oblation, a friend showed me a photo they had taken during the Ceremony and in it there were two birds perched on the altar column – the friend told me that they had stayed that way throughout the Mass.  Remembering the symbol of the Christian Meditation Community is two birds I saw it as a sign for me that All Nature was in celebration!!!!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Havia muitos p\u00e1ssaros voando e pousando nos arcos e colunas  na igreja onde fiz  meus votos finais para ser Oblata no  final da tarde do  dia 27 de abril deste ano. Tudo era encantador, e eu me lembrava que …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desde a primeira vez que entrei em contato com a Medita\u00e7\u00e3o Crist\u00e3, por meio de uma confer\u00eancia de Dom Laurence Freeman no Youtube, senti uma total identifica\u00e7\u00e3o com a Espiritualidade da Comunidade. Foi como que ap\u00f3s provar v\u00e1rias roupas e uma cair um pouco bem, outra melhor, outra grande, etc; encontrasse uma que me vestisse com perfei\u00e7\u00e3o. Sim. Com perfei\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A partir de ent\u00e3o Laurence Freeman e John Main, t\u00eam sido meus l\u00edderes espirituais, claro que tamb\u00e9m fa\u00e7o muitas leituras de linhas afins como Thomas Keating, Henri Nowen, e grandes nomes da nossa tradi\u00e7\u00e3o crist\u00e3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cada vez mais, vem crescendo em mim um grande desejo de compartilhar o  Bem que a Medita\u00e7\u00e3o trouxe e traz \u00e0 minha vida, coordeno um grupo em Cotia, Brasil e pratico medita\u00e7\u00e3o com crian\u00e7a e pessoas com quem converso ou atendo como psicoterapeuta, quero que muitos passem a usufruir desse t\u00e3o grande Bem, desse Caminho, do Reino; pois para mim esse \u00e9 o Verdadeiro Caminho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nesse percurso no  momento em que li na Regra de S\u00e3o Bento: “Escuta, filho, os preceitos do Mestre”.  percebi ser filha de Bento de N\u00farsia, ele falava ao meu cora\u00e7\u00e3o, o qual  senti aquecido e dilatado. Tive a certeza do chamado para me tornar Oblata da Comunidade Mundial da Medita\u00e7\u00e3o crist\u00e3, na qual encontrei meu Lar, mesmo que sem paredes somos irm\u00e3os e irm\u00e3s em uma fam\u00edlia que se acolhe nas alegrias e tristezas, e se compreende profundamente pois fala a mesma l\u00ednguagem, aquela do cora\u00e7\u00e3o. Concordo com S\u00e3o Bento quanto a import\u00e2ncia do g\u00eanero dos cenobitas, que vivem em comunidade, o que possibilita maior reflex\u00e3o e cumprimento dos tr\u00eas votos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Um deles, a Estabilidade \/ fidelidade para com esse caminho, seu cumprimento me \u00e9 grantido espontaneamente por meio da medita\u00e7\u00e3o cotidiana, do estudo da Regra, dos textos de John Main e Laurence Freeman, digo espontaneamente porque me deleito com essas leituras e com a pr\u00e1tica, elas ressoam em mim. Claro que ainda a harmonia me o equil\u00edbrio entre o interior e exterior est\u00e3o em cont\u00ednuo processo, h\u00e1 momentos de encontro com nossos aspectos sombrios, h\u00e1 tentativas de fugas que nosso ego procura a elas nos induzir, contudo h\u00e1 os irm\u00e3os, que nos d\u00e3o as m\u00e3os e nos acompanham nas nossas quedas e restabelecimentos. Entretanto, a pr\u00e1tica, a leitura e a Comunidade possibilitam o crescimento da seguran\u00e7a, confian\u00e7a e o  reconhecimento  que estamos juntos nessa jornada, somos peregrinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sendo assim, dentro dos tr\u00eas votos: Estabilidade, Obedi\u00eancia e Convers\u00e3o; o da Estabilidade pode ser garantido pela nossa disciplina em cumprimos os dois momentos di\u00e1rios  de medita\u00e7\u00e3o, a leitura da Regra de S\u00e3o Bento e  dos textos referentes \u00e0 essa Espiritualidade,  e o di\u00e1logo com a Comunidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Os tr\u00eas votos est\u00e3o, na minha experi\u00eancia, t\u00e3o relacionados uns aos outros, que muitas vezes eles se confundem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quanto ao voto da Obedi\u00eancia, seria obedecer os sinais do Esp\u00edrito que s\u00e3o  mais f\u00e1ceis de serem percebidos com a fidelidade com que praticamos os ensinamentos de John Main e da Comunidade, os dois tempos di\u00e1rios de medita\u00e7\u00e3o, sendo o Mantra nossa b\u00fassola Caminhada. E nesse sentido o compromisso com um voto alimenta o outro voto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Convers\u00e3o \u00e9 se manter aberto \u00e0 transforma\u00e7\u00e3o, ela  \u00e9 din\u00e2mica e constante. A Medita\u00e7\u00e3o propicia que inadequa\u00e7\u00f5es de nossa personalidade, e nossos aspectos sombrios emerjam de nossas profundezas  e ao tomarmos consci\u00eancia deles e  coloc\u00e1-los \u00e0 luz da Regra de S\u00e3o Bento, da sabedoria da tradi\u00e7\u00e3o crist\u00e3 da medita\u00e7\u00e3o,  eles possam ser curados e transformados na fornalha ardente do Esp\u00edrito Santo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Medita\u00e7\u00e3o realmente leva \u00e0 Comunidade, \u00e0 uma  Comunidade de Amor…   e  \u00e9 por isso que  Comunidade Mundial de Medita\u00e7\u00e3o Crist\u00e3 significa para mim o meu LAR, a portadora dos princ\u00edpios, preceitos e  modo de vida que desejo seguir. Significa uma fam\u00edlia, cujos membros t\u00eam partes do mesmo DNA espiritual, significa algo muito al\u00e9m do que eu conseguiria explicar, ela \u00e9 a Vida no Reino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ap\u00f3s a cerim\u00f4nia, com os votos finais feitos,  vi em uma das fotos tirada por uma amiga,  que havia dois p\u00e1ssaros    pousados na coluna sobre o altar , esta amiga me falou que eles haviam ficado dessa maneira durante toda a missa, lembrando o s\u00edmbolo da Comunidade de Medita\u00e7\u00e3o Crist\u00e3. Eu senti  que Toda a Natureza estava em festa!!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
